The Challenge

A completely new site for an event that hadn't been tried or tested, needing to cater for 10's of thousands of site interactions per month.

The platform required a robust, scalable architecture capable of handling massive traffic spikes while maintaining exceptional performance and visual appeal. Beyond the technical demands, we needed to create an engaging user experience with interactive elements, comprehensive content management through a blog and article system, and sophisticated custom route mapping for the cycling event with real-time updates. The challenge lay in building a foundation that could seamlessly scale from launch day through peak event periods, ensuring every visitor experienced the same high-quality, responsive interface regardless of traffic volume.
